A 14-year-old girl from Katutura, Windhoek allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself around 12h00 on Friday. According to the crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Monday, the deceased, identified as Julia Mingeli, was a Grade 8 learner at Immanuel Shifidi High School in Windhoek. No suicide note was found and her next of kin have been informed of her death. Meanwhile, on the same day, 33-year-old Johannes Makili, allegedly died after committing suicide by hanging himself at Iindjinda village near Ondangwa in the Oshana Region. No suicide note was found. In a similar incident on Sunday, a 38-year-old teacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his room. The deceased, Phillipus Sheehama, was a principal at Onambaladi Primary School at Onambaladi village in Okongo constituency. In another incident, a 70-year-old man, Mukuatavi Tjisuta, was found dead in the field at Ekoto village in Opuwo rural by police officials on Sunday. It is alleged that the deceased went missing while he was looking for his missing goats in February and never returned home. The family did not report the matter to the police until Saturday, as they thought the deceased had gone to other relatives. His family members identified the clothes as those worn by Tjisuta when he went missing. The next of kin to all reported deceased people were informed about their deaths and police investigations continue. -NAMPA
