The two boys who died in a road accident outside Maltahöhe in the Hardap Region on Tuesday, have been identified. Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Eric Clay, identified the deceased as 18-year-old Heinrich Abraham and 14-year-old Morney Mungunda. Abraham and Mungunda had been occupants in a Toyota Corolla allegedly being driven by an unlicensed driver. The 18-year-old unlicensed driver, Rinory Pieters, 16-year-old David Abraham and three-year-old Gevien Swartbooi were injured in the accident. Pieters lost control over the vehicle which then smashed into the rails of the bridge and threw out all occupants, killing two on the scene and seriously injuring the remaining three. The four older boys were pupils at Daweb Secondary School. A case of culpable homicide and driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s licence was opened.
