Three suspects aged between 24 and 32 years were arrested on Friday for allegedly returning a gravestone that was allegedly stolen in May this year at the Golgotha Cemetery in the capital. It is further alleged that the security guard on duty saw the three suspects in a private vehicle entering the cemetery before placing the stolen tombstone back at its original spot. According to a crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday, the driver of the vehicle is a funeral undertaker. The value of the recovered tombstone is N$13 000, while another missing tombstone is valued N$5 000 and police investigations in the matter continue.
