People traveling from neighbouring countries with emergency documents are encouraged to pay attention and not to violate the conditions and requirements that come with such documents. Namibia has a number of border posts, especially in the north and north east, which are either fenced off, or marked by rivers. People living beyond these borders enter Namibia to access services on a daily basis, and instead of providing these individuals with a passport to enter the country, they are issued with national emergency documents.
