A 40-year-old woman was raped and murdered at Nepara Winni village in the Kavango West Region on Monday. The Namibian Police Force’s Kavango West Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Josephat Abel told Nampa the suspect in the matter is a 29-year-old man. “The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, also saw the suspect arrested on the same day,” he said. The man allegedly raped his victim before strangling her to death. Abel said the incident has left the community of Nepara Winni, 18 kilometres south of Nkurenkuru, distraught and in shock.
