The electrification of schools is being fast tracked as part of the Harambee Prosperity Plan. Two schools have already been electrified in the Zambezi Region, while more schools and clinics are earmarked to benefit before 2020. Although a significant number of rural communities have benefited from Namibia’s rural electrification programme since independence, some are still in darkness, as the country continues to roll out these programmes to benefit all.
