Zenobia Seas has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of her child as well as one year for obstructing to defeat the course of justice. The sentences will run concurrently. High Court judge Christie Liebenberg said the court has imposed a lengthy custodial sentence to murder accused even though it will not bring back the life of an innocent child – Ava Owoses. It further ruled that Zenobia clearly orchestrated the murder of Owoses earlier on the day to emotionally hurt the father of the child. He motive was clear from the onset, and her actions were calculated, brutal and inhumane. According to her testimony she said the child’s father, Immanuel Owoseb also known as Ndumba, was emotionally and physically violent towards her over a 13 month romantic relationship.
